He moved on to discuss the harmful impacts of student loans on America's youth. Minhaj asserted in front of the House Financial Services Committee, "This issue is sidelining millions of Americans. People are putting off marriage, kids, homeownership, and retirement — especially my generation... Many borrowers are still treated like deadbeats because the government has put their financial futures in the hands of predatory, for-profit loan servicing companies."

This is from a while ago but this is why I support wiping out college debt even though I had to pay for all of mine and a large chunk of two of my children's college expenses.

Assume everyone who wouldn't vote for a POC or a woman per se is a Republican. Just think of the matrix of bizarre beliefs and lunacies one must hold to get there. Those people are a completely lost cause.

Therefore, running a POC or a woman costs us exactly zero votes. It should not factor into our thinking at all. It is an American League problem and we are the National League. In the World Series we will not attract a single American League vote. Our job is to maximize National League votes.

The American League does not matter. We have to stop thinking in terms of their prejudices and biases. The GOP has to worry about those -- we do not. All we need is the person who will maximize our turnout. Period, full stop. Republicans and their petty stupidities, for our purposes, no longer exist.

                You missed your chance.

When the electorate wasn't so polarized you might have fooled a few women to adopt policies that sliced their own throats but no longer. I doubt you could even pull it off with a house you-know-what but hey Alan Keys is still out there somewhere if you care to try.

Why am I the problem? My top two choices right now are Amy K and Warren. It's not who *I* would vote for, it's who *America* would vote for. There have been 3 women on presidential tickets in my lifetime. 2 got destroyed (and deservedly). The other one came close, but nope.

If it's settled that a male is the Presidential candidate, and a female is the Veep, and they win, some of "dem anti-skirt folk" might say to themselves...hey, this actually is okay. THEN you can run a woman for president. THEN we have some progress.

You aren't the problem. We just shouldn't listen to you.

You are extrapolating what human beings think based on what Republicans think. It is irrelevant what Republicans think. They have removed themselves from any rational consideration; they are merely a landscape obstacle to be surmounted by getting more humans to the polls.

There is nothing anyone can about Republicans. They are going to do what they are going to do. They don't figure in human plans. The only thing that matters is getting Democrats to the polls. The way to do that is to put the cows out to pasture and run the most dynamic, exciting, young, interesting, sincere candidates we can find. Candidates who give you the heebie jeebies.

And again, I point out that Hillary (the ONE female candidate that wasn't destroyed) didn't win. America will not vote in a woman president, yet. I stress yet. So, insert a female Veep. Warm America up to the idea that a female can be president. Flip some of the indies. Flip some of those "anyone but Hillary" types. Then really make a move.

So 3 different states (maybe up to 5) will decide the election if we go to popular vote. You think the flyovers would have any real say? BTW, for sale: bridge in the NY area, great value.

You have drawn the wrong conclusions from 2016. Hillary didn't lose because Democrats stayed home for a woman. Every moron who thinks a man should be President is already a Republican.

The electorate has bifurcated. The racists and sexists are all R now because that's where their fan service is. Those white men who remain D are the ones who have functional brains. The bozos and monsters who wouldn't vote for a woman are going to vote straight ticket R for the rest of their lives because they should -- that's where they belong.
