Tech needs a big brawler. Gord Salt, 6'5" 200 lbs, would have been in the middle of that mellay brawling and parting the mob like Moses parted the Red Sea. He loved to fight...Hanson style...

Its a bold strategy to roster a fighting specialist in a level of hockey that doesn't allow fighting. Bold strategy indeed, Cotton.

I forgot about the B&B upping their game in the last couple years. First time I was ever there it was darn near like that scene in Animal House where the college kids walked into the black's bar.

For those who don't know, tourists were looked at funny when they walked in there; per my experiences anyway.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

And then he would be kicked out for at least Friday’s game at NMU. What good would that do for a team that needs wins to get home ice in the playoff vs Bemidji? Gordie was too good a player to be missing in a critical game.

uhm, I know math is hard but check the standing MTU @ BSU is already a lock.

Salt was hardly a brawling specialist. Maxed out with 49 PIM his junior year, but had 59 points. Had exactly 1 fight in 24 games as a pro. Good, physical power forward that was smart enough to know when not to go at it.

So you’d want to play a critical series without your leading scorer? Boehm, Hay & Merkosky were good players, but Salt was their best. Don’t give up on the Huskies because they’ve lost 3 of their last 4 at Bemidji. Gotta have a Tech-NMU Championship game!

You are really bring your stupid "A" game today...being a lock for 5th place and going to Bemidji has nothing to do with my hope for MTU going on a run in the WCHA. Next time you open your mouth think about what you're going to say before you try and make the rest of us waste time reading your crap.

There was only one day of the year that the local yokels would let us into that joint without giving us the hairy eyeball, and it was the annual "Senior" Bar Crawl night.

You’re right. My error. My apologies.

Last time we were there, it was almost a totally different bar as far as attitude. I like the place, and glad they changed.
