      BU has a commitment from '99 center Wilmer Skoog, 6'1", 190 from Tyreso, Sweden. Last season had 47 points (18G,29A) in 57 games for NAHL Minot Minatours.

        20-year old recruit = good
        NAHL recruit = hmmm

        Assuming it is for this season, I hope this isn't a result of any unexpected developments (not trying to stir the pot here, I know nothing, but this seems like a depth add fairly late in the process). I don't know the roster numbers, maybe we still had a slot to fill?

          They know O'Brien's appeal will not go his way?

              Skoog is likely to be for 2020. More details and video, plus a full list of Terriers at NHL Development Camps is on the updated blog post

                  2021 recruit Artem Shlaine named to US U-18 Select Team for the 2019 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup tournament. The 6’1”, Moscow born/Florida raised center scored 90 points last season for Shattuck St. Mary’s Midget Prep. USA Hockey Select Team roster

                  NEHJ Select 17 report:
                  4. Artem Shlaine
                  #10 Navy, Shattuck St. Mary’s, 3/7/02, C, Left Shot, 6-1/165
                  NCAA Commit: Boston University
                  Shlaine’s stock has risen tremendously over the past two years, which earned him a commitment to BU. He had a great start to the camp and seemingly was all over the puck in the first three games. He gets to pucks with a good first step and isn’t afraid to go to the greasy areas. He gets a lot of shots and has zip on his release. Shlaine projects as a second or third round pick in next June’s NHL Draft
                  .

                      Things change pretty quickly with this player....

                      @ScottPBradford
                      Youngstown has added Jay O'Brien to their roster. It was thought the 1st-round pick to the Flyers was headed to the BCHL this year after leaving Providence, but maybe he'll be playing in the USHL again in 19-20? Would be huge add for the Phantoms

                        Doesn't necessarily mean he has changed plans from going to Penticton. Given how far he'll be form home, might just be a move by Youngstown in case he realizes he wants to be closer to home. Roster adds without the player ever actually going are not uncommon.

                          Update on #Flyers Jay O'Brien situation. O'Brien decided on the USHL, more talented league than BCHL, in hopes to showcase his talent against better competition. His goal is to earn his ELC & play for LV Phantoms in 2020. If not will go to BU in 2020. #FlyersTalk #LetsGoFlyers

                            Wow. Follow the bouncing ball. Looks like he is looking for the quickest path to pro and will avoid NCAA if the opportunity arises?

                              This appears to be a pretty good source and given the timestamp, pretty up to date.
