Re: UNH Wildcats 2019/2020 Ready to Rock and Roll!!
Shots were 3-1 after two early UNH penalties and then the Wildcats took over, outshooting Miami (who may be worse than I thought - outscored 10-5 through four periods so far, ouch) 12-3 the rest of the way...
Gotta dominate bad teams, so great opening period for UNH!

Agreed, Dan. Miami a big team, but did NOT look good

By the way, while the barn is very nice, it’s makes the Whitt’s energy look off the charts. Had it not been for that last goal, it was quiet enough for a quick nap.

Two years ago it was as rowdy a place as you’d find in college hockey - but it’s a pretty fair weather sports school and with the struggles they’ve lost a lot of student support. The isolation hurts too when the product is hard to watch. Sad what’s happened to the atmosphere...
I couldn’t believe how empty it was when I turned it on...

Understood. By the way, Was interesting to hear the let Blasi go with 398 wins
Wow great start Wildcats!!!! I'm frustrated not being able to watch with this blasted camping trip but loving the updates! Way to go Ko getting the first goal of the season!!! Keep it up 'Cats!

Blasi did a lot of great things at Miami, including getting that arena built. Unlike UNH (Umile’s) slow and steady slide, the bottom fell out on the RedHawks. Hard decision for Miami I’m sure - I’d have rather seen them dump the football coach - but a defendable one.
You could argue that Blasi (and his new assistant Peter Mannino- who was killing recruiting) should have had another year or two) but Bergeron was an assistant during Miami’s best years. A few top recruits have since bailed so it’s looking like a total rebuild now...
