Specifically 8/27/2001. There are 3 2001's on the U22 team but I don't think she was even at the National Festival camp. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Need not go to far out on a limb to predict that Abby Murphy will make a big impact on the Gophers' fortunes when she arrives in 2020-21. Never want to put too much reliance on a freshman, but she could be something special.

I hate to say it, but all these rodents scoring during this festival thing is makes me about .2% less confident about next year. That's a big swing on the confidence-O-meter.

Interesting read with a couple of things that were noteworty, at least for me. Kippin Keller recovering from surgery and Taylor Heise having mono this summer.

Didn't Knowles and Wente(?) both have mono early last year? Wonder what it is about rising sophomores...

Straight out of college to Co-Head Coach. Impressive.

As a comparison of a slightly different path, Sam Reber spent one year at UMD as an assistant to Maura Crowell after graduating from Harvard, then was hired as head coach at Edina HS, where her team won state titles in each of her first three seasons there. Yes, she inherited a ton of talent, but Edina had never won a girls title prior to Reber's arrival.

I guess that my point is that by the time these women graduate from college, they have learned so much from all of their coaches along the way that they don't need much more experience in order to be successful at the prep level.

Maybe this belongs in a season thread, but anyway, here is a breakdown of the blue line:
