Tremendous news! I do notice that Heisenberg, for whatever his rankings are worth, doesn't have Bourbonnais quite as high in the USHL rankings as I might have thought he'd be based on how high Heisenberg had him in the Northeast rankings.

He was picked in the bottom of Round 3 of the 2011 USHL draft.

Regardless, based on some of the other schools that were rumored to have been recruiting him, it is a great pickup.

No. His first message said it was from Riley's twitter account. The second message corrected that to the link that I gave.

BTW, to anyone who read this thread soon after I posted, I apologize for messing up the Marquee link.

He's doing pretty well in the preseason with a 4-4-0-4-0 line and a +6. http://ushl.stats.pointstreak.com/sc...&seasonid=7849

Great to see that he's adapting to a much tougher league very nicely so early. Even though he isn't too big, based on reports of his style of play and stocky stature him and Zalewski will be a great pair of power forwards to add to the incredible amount of skill we added this year up front.

HUGE pickup for RPI!!! I think the entire ECAC and a bunch of HE schools were after Bourbonnais...so much so that I had almost assumed he'd get snatched up.... I saw him at AA last winter he was clearly the best kid on the ice then. Very excited that we landed him, and join others here to see how he does in USHL play this year. With JL, Higgs, Zalewski and numerous others, I can't help but think we are gonna be stacked on offence. Wow. Great job Seth and Co. in landing the kid.

I completely agree. I did not have the opportunity to see him at AA last year, but was fortunate enough to be introduced to him by Col Knowlton during his on campus visit during the warm ups at one of the home games. He seemed like a fantastic kid and very interested at that time. I had mistaken him for someone else as he completely caught me off guard as being a recruit (no team gear and very unassuming). From all that I have heard, this is another great signing. I have said before that I would want my son associated with this coach, AD, and program - and it's apparent the team is getting some exceptional players and even better kids.
