I thought spearing was an automatic major, even in the NHL...

While I really like rock 'em sock 'em hockey, I cannot get behind a spearing penalty. Spearing and deliberate high sticking penalties are just dirty hockey. jmo

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. We do not know the circumtance. Perhaps he was speared or kneed first and the ref caught his retaliation? I give extra credit for feisty.

Amen Doc...given his scoring in the game, I'm sure he was getting more than a little "attention" from the opponents goon.

Note that Stouffville scored two SHGs while Neal was in the box and gave up one PPG. So it was a net plus.

With two games left (others have more), JL leads the CHL in points, goals, and PPGs, https://cjhlsite.stats.pointstreak.co...&seasonid=5782. He is second in assists and SHG, tied for 4th in PPAs, and tied for 5th in GWGs.

He also has clinched the 3-star championship https://cjhlsite.stats.pointstreak.co...&seasonid=5782.

I know-often times performance at this level does not translate to results in the NCAA. But just imagine for a minute-that in this case it just might. If it does-is it ever going to get exciting in Troy.
