Canton’s schedule is a problem for me, but hey, you can only play who’s next up on it...

And we'll see what affect it has on their PWR.

On the bottom of the PWR rankings, they provide a brief explanation for that one.

Their remaining strength of schedule will negatively affect them?

Welcome….and I would imagine that Oswego's bad start to the season, will not help them when they meet, but maybe later on in the season

The only thing that matters is the PWR, as far as an AL bid goes.

Because of the fact that the pairwise has 3 elements - Head to Head, Common Opponents, and RPI and most teams haven't played each other, the RPI and PWR are almost identical. If you read down the RPI rank column on the PWR, you usually see that the PWR and RPI rank are the same. Scanning the current PWR, there are only 4 instances of teams with ranks in the PWR different from their ranks in the RPI, and those differences are only one position.

In the Men's Div I PWR, you have to go all the way to #27 before the RPI and PWR differ.... and, like Div III, it's only one spot. I found one school AIC (#38 PWR) who was two spots higher in the PWR than their RPI ranking.

Yeah, it's like that every year. I don't suppose it hurts to include H2H and COP, but, as you've alluded-to, that very rarely matters in either case.

I'm sure a more thorough metric will be employed in the future, but at least we -at long last- have an objective one, as imperfect as it is.

That sure beats the smoky rooms and the invented "rankings", a la the old D-3 Hockey site's constructs, which were pulled that out of thin air for the most part.

Well after today’s loss they’ve pretty much taken themselves out of the PWR discussion

Utica still has to play Manhattanville tomorrow, but after tonight’s games with 6 weeks left to play...

Williams at Geneseo winner at Norwich
Plymouth at UNE winner at Utica
Stevenson at Trinity winner at Babson
Augsburg at Eau Claire winner at Lake Forest

So much hockey left to be played still...

Does anybody know of a PWR customizing tool for D3 like the one CollegeHockeyNews.com has for D1? I'd love to see how much that loss to Northland screwed over UWSP.

I've looked for a PW predictor for D-3 as well, and not finding it thus far.

Our sport of choice just hasn't generated that level of interest yet.

The D-1 women only have one because a dedicated fan created a working one...

Correct. I'm sorry. Good catch! I made a mistake and had Utica as the UCHC champion, which right now Wilkes is on top so yes, swap out Elmira for Wilkes and the rest actually remains the same thankfully.
