I wish we were seeing the Biden of 2012...
You, and your fellow deplorables, will come out in full force regardless. Your king is being threatened.
But that's still only 35% of voters. And swing voters aren't a thing anymore. Trump has made it so you're either all in or all out.

      On this, two things:

      1. The Deplorables don't matter. They are GOP ride or die. They are an obstacle in the physical landscape, not voters up for grabs. We should never give them a thought either way.

      2. You know who won't win OH/MI/WI/PA "economic anxiety" rural whites? Obama. And yet he won handily twice. The key is to open up the voter pool by appealing to people who are energized by attacks on the systemic class problems in this country. When we choose a centrist we throw cold water on all that. That is the Plutes protecting their loot by getting us to self-censor, and the consequence is we wither as a party while the right becomes bolder, more fascistic, and more powerful and energetic. Here's the thing about Dump: he's not boring.

This. Every new voter now is a Democrat. Every possible Republican has been squeezed out of the tar sands of the Deplorables by the Republicans' full press of racism, xenophobia, and anti-intellectualism. Every zombie has been mobilized -- the non-voters who are left are ours if we just reach for them.

cF I could have sworn that way back you were a rightie? Am I mistaken or have you made the jump over the years?

Not true. Susan Rice has admitted that she has raised a new fresh Republican in her own house.

Regarding Warren and the Native American issue, I think that would matter more if everyone in the country was fat and happy and had the leisure time to engage in such nonsense. I mentioned previous this sort of slander worked like charm in 1988 against a guy with no known skeletons in his closet, while Goopernazi's did the same thing in 1992 against a candidate with a lot more material to work with and the voters dismissed it. I don't see the electorate as being fat and happy next year. They seem much more anxious about the country's future.

That was a really good episode but did you think Tyson was just going through the motions? He's usually way more up. Last Friday he looked like he was just there for the check.

I was and I've definitely moved significantly left to where Warren is my preferred candidate. Since 2009, I have had much more in common socially with the democratic party. But it took some years to realize the picture of the Republican party I had in my mind was nowhere close to what the Republican party actually is.

Tyson wasn't on his game. It's a weird show though. They only have an hour and he doesn't really give any of his guests a lot of room. Howard Stern went way over the week before and cut everyone else's time considerably.

                        Good man!

Stories like yours give me hope. The "conservative" lie (in reality not conservative at all) is seductive, effective and in many parts of the country virtually unchallenged. It takes an impressive person to change.

Also, this just about puts a fork in Mayor Pete for me.

possibly meaningless: "the employees asked the tech mogul and Chan to recommend them."

I know they don't want Warren, but do they really think longshot Pete would be a good place for them to hedge their bets?

The AEI woman was clueless; I wanted to remove her from the show and just put Rice there.

And my god, is Rice running for president someday or what? That could have been a launch announcement it was so blatant.
