The guy has a fossil fuel board member as his climate adviser, no it ****ing isn't. Our problems go far beyond, "orange man bad", and nothing has been done about this problem for decades under both republican and dem administrations so it's not just the nazis who are to blame for it.

He has actual bills for most of his proposals unlike Warren so this is just mainstream media tripe right here.

Clearly most of us want someone other than Biden, but we can’t have people sit out again because “both parties are the same.” If people haven’t learned that’s not true in the last three years, then I don’t know what to tell them.

#1 problem is Orange Man Bad. If that doesn’t get taken care of, then problems #2-#infinity don’t get taken care of. Amicability. In the race for who people are really comfortable with on a human level, it's down to Uncle Joe and Mayor Pete.
It's important to remember than insofar as who is elected president, it doesn't matter at all who is smartest, who has the ideas most likely to affect positive change, who has been the most successful, etc. Look at every election ever: who do the voters like, as people? They vote for someone who is gregarious, pretends to be down to earth, pretends to respect everyone, and so on. It's simply a popularity contest, no more.
IMO it's more important to get Trump out of office than to get (your) "best" possible candidate nominated.

In the context of a primary thread this reads like someone making the case for Biden over the candidates with superior policy sets.

It's a lie to say nothing had been done. Maybe not _enough_ has been done, but the Clean Power Plan, Paris Accord, moratorium on coal leasing, directing the dept of interior to permit gigawatts of additional wind and solar projects, increased automobile milage standards is not nothing. Uncle Joe or Hillary wouldn't have undone that.

He's not a loon for saying climate change is such an existential threat that we have to act radically. He is likely correct that Biden isn't equipped to recognize that this is as serious as a knife-wielding intruder. He is a 50-year product of the comfortable, laid back Beltway culture that believes the best thing to do is nothing and that this will blow over.

We're going to have to force him, so we'll force him. We'll take Congress and we'll write legislation. And if the voters care we'll win and if they don't then everybody dies.

But that's worlds different from Dump, with who it doesn't matter if the voters care because he's going to kill us anyway.

I don't think the plurality of the electorate wants to see the planet end, which is essentially what you're voting for if you pick Biden.

The thing is, the individual who is elected president doesn't much matter, as long as it's not a Republican, and especially except when it's "Donald Trump" or some other insane criminal. The coming necessary changes will be bottom-up and widespread, no matter if the executive signing the final documents is Biden, Warren, Sanders, or any other pretty face. The "PLANET IS ENDING" nonsense is why a ton of people who are impatient with nonsense voted for Trump.
Most Trump voters are not stupider than you, or less caring, or more evil. They just don't want people like you telling them how they have to think and act. They resent harsh accusations that they are living their lives wrongly. And then in a blunder of historic proportions, they voted (for Donald Trump! The guy from that one show lol!) with their middle fingers, and then got willingly sucked into a gaslit haze of reinforcement and obfuscation by profiteers at Fox News.
The planet isn't ending. Society is shifting with a slow, grinding resistance.
