Can't pass legislation without the Senate on your side. A hypothetical POTUS Warren's going to be hosed on that front.

Win the WH and there's a 50/50 chance the Senate comes with it. Dems need to go balls to the wall on those Senate races as well. I don't want to hear that some 1 term Senator running for re-election is somehow untouchable. Its entirely possible Chump gets re-elected but its also possible he gets crushed and takes his party with him. Right now Dems seem to have done a decent to good job of recruiting for key races.

        For those obsessed with numbers

President Drumpf holds a slim lead in Iowa over former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in hypothetical match-ups, according to a new poll.

The survey by Emerson College found that 51 percent of registered voters said they would choose Drumpf over Biden. Respondents favored Drumpf by the same 51 percent-49 percent margin in a match-up against Warren.

The reverse was the case for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). Fifty-one percent of voters said they would pick him over Drumpf, who garnered 49 percent support.

An additional problem if either Warren or Sanders win the presidency is that both Vermont and Massachusetts have Republican governors (how the **** did that happen, btw?) and any replacement will likely be an R.

The point is the Old Tyme Fear, instilled in liberals at birth and I'm sure only coincidentally convenient for the status quo, that the farther we move Left the more we alienate the flyovers, is dead wrong. America's middle isn't afraid of radical solutions, it's just sick of the business as usual of elites taking them for a ride. Some of them think "elites" means those annoying Poindexters who "think they're so smart" but most of them have sussed out it's the rich who have been raping them for the last half century.

So they're gonna let Trump keep bending them over and fcking them in the arse, rather than elect Warren?

                          Tax extreme wealth

Also, the Koch brothers accidentally proved that Bernie's M4A plan will save up to $2 trillion over 10 years.

The section on the Green New Deal lays out how he'll end subsidies to fossil fuel companies, make them clean up their own messes and actually enforce existing legislation for fines and penalties.

He proposes paying for college by taxing Wall Street transactions

We can guarantee higher education as a right for all and cancel all student debt for an estimated $2.2 trillion. To pay for this, we will impose a tax of a fraction of a percent on Wall Street speculators who nearly destroyed the economy a decade ago. This Wall Street speculation tax will raise $2.4 trillion over the next ten years. It works by placing a 0.5 percent tax on stock trades – 50 cents on every $100 of stock – a 0.1 percent fee on bond trades, and a 0.005 percent fee on derivative trades.

If Wall Street can be bailed out for several trillion dollars, 45 million Americans can and will be bailed out of the $1.6 trillion burden of student loan debt and we can provide free college for all. Some 40 countries throughout the world have imposed a similar tax, including Britain, South Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, France, Switzerland and China.

                            Who said that?

The point is the farther we go Left the better we do because people have had enough of the bullsh-t. The Plutes know this which is why they pressure the Left to self-censor. Once we start putting sincere social democratic policies in place they will be as wildly popular as Social Security and Medicare and the days of Reaganite (and before that Cold Warrior JFK) Neofeudalism will be numbered.

We are headed back to the days of 90% top marginal rates, rebuilding the middle class, and unleashing our economy for everybody. The Plutes probably even realize that -- the locusts just want one more summer of razing the fields before they go back underground for another 13-year hibernation until the average voter forgets their rapine yet again.

That's how we know when people are merely concern trolling (see also: they don't ask the exact same questions of their own candidate).

Sanders isn't going to be the nominee so that's not a concern. Regarding Warren the appointed Senator can only serve for a short amount of time before a new election is mandated (90 days maybe) so whoever Good Time Charlie Baker appoints won't be in there for long.
