Or we could get rid of all the tax havens, shell companies, tax breaks/write-offs, etc and everyone actually pay the percentage of tax they are supposed to be paying on what their income is.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Read your post again, and do the math. That's 25% vs 15%, and it's most likely due to what I would like to get rid of. Hmmm.

Edit: and that is not even starting on corporate taxes.

Pretty sure a lot of education resources and such could be had with $79B.

No. It's not due to what you're talking about.

My vote would be my proposal, see the results, then re-evaluate. There's a LOT of money not being paid right now due to the tax avoidance.

Yes but the fact that they’re avoiding taxes doesn’t mean they shouldn’t also be taxed at a higher rate than people who can barely pay rent. In fact that probably necessitates the opposite.

If half of the customers in a store left without buying anything would we say they were apathetic or would we say the store was not offering the right products?

Of course it would. The sane, rational, don't rock the boat centrist way.

Not a very useful analogy unless you somehow include the element of social responsibility. We are voting ("buying"), in large part, for the benefit of others. If we don't buy, goods will be sold anyway, but possibly only those or only at a price that harms those others you have a responsibility to protect.

They arent even hiding they are pulling crap out of their butt. They threw Clinton in to try and cover their butts for what they did to her in 2016.
Check this out! The Washington Post, which apparently we're supposed to trust, gets into the "Dems in Disarray" act. You might think it was the Dem incumbent facing impeachment and a majority of the country that wants him tried and convicted.

So, Democratic voters are expressing concern about the election prospects in 2020, the WaPo publishes a story about it, but you're suggesting your fellow Dems ignore it, nothing to see here, move along?
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.
