Yup. The Cardinals never led in any game.

My coworkers discovered the Nats a week ago. Tomorrow will be a trying day.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

They got Carpenter to the plate as the go-ahead run in the 8th. But my god that first inning.

did not see THAT coming. guess they used up all their runs in Game 5 vs. Atlanta. Are the Nats' starters really that untouchable, or did St. Louis' offense just die?

And Cole was vulnerable last night.

The Yankees are going to bemoan the blown opportunity to win on Sunday. As Tampa showed, the only way you beat Houston is to steal a Verlander/Cole game. The Yankees needed to steal that game on Sunday.

This should be inscribed on the lintels of every locker room. A bad start does not doom a team.

I think it was a little of both. The Cards' bats didn't wake up until last night, and even then, they were shut down when they threatened.

And it's just simple math. 33 losses is not great, nor is 19-33, but with 162 games there's still a lot left to play. You wouldn't count out a 2-3 NFL team.

I think it's a bit more analogous to 2-4, but same same.

Contemplating NL expansion, addition of Montreal and Las Vegas, got me very excited about 4x4 realignment. My dream alignment:

                                (revised, above)
