Twins pick up Nelson Cruz's option year. No brainer there.

Good point. Maybe I should have said "won a series." I bet the graphic I saw did.

Ugh. Yet another reason the Wild card game is dumb.

I was thinking that for the Dodgers. Now that they are out, they may dump Roberts.

I think Maddon is too smart to join that dumpster fire.

Which unfortunately means he also won't join the Mets.

Rumors right after the Cubs made it official was that he was being penciled in for Brad Ausmus in Anaheim.

Angels are interviewing more candidates. So while they are screwing around, Maddon will get scooped up elsewhere.

Stolen from an article on The Athletic, but this is a pretty mind boggling stat:

"Due to injuries and pitcher-specific matchups, the Yankees used 155 different lineups in their 162-game season. Only a handful of lineups repeated — they used one lineup three times and five others twice each."

Further, their ALDS lineup for game 1, was the 156th different one. They stuck with it for games 2-3, matching it for the most used of the season.

Which is why Aaron Boone is the Manager of the Year. I can't see how it can be anyone else.

I'm giving it to the Tampa guy.
