Brooks and Udd Hellgren are consecutively listed here https://www.nahl.com/player-advancement/college/ (remove the s in https). They could have been cutting and pasting and messed up as you suggested.

On Friday, the Winkler Flyers defeated the Thief River Falls Norskies (SIJHL) 9-1 in a preseason game. Eric Fawkes did not dress because he is probably no longer in Winkler. https://www.mjhlhockey.ca/stats/game-summary/4007

Fawkes's preseason line is now 0-0-0-0-0.

On Friday, the Powell River Kings defeated the Alberni Valley Bulldogs 6-3 in a real game. Jack Brackett had no points or penalties. https://bchl.ca/stats/game-summary/9197

    Brackett's line is now 1-0-0-0-0.

Edit: Just noticed that former Union skater Kyle Bodie is an AC for Powell River.

    Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2019-20

I should have posted that the Maryland Black Bears of the NAHL (Leibold) apparently tied the Youngstown Phantoms (Beaton) of the USHL 4-4 in Maryland. Only Maryland tweeted anything. Reid Leibold wasn't mentioned. Maryland has a game today vs. the NJ Titans.

I doubt that this means all that much as to the comparative levels of the USHL and the NAHL, but the MBB was clearly not outclassed completely, not like Winkler of the MJHL dominating an SIJHL team. (Watch Winkler lose on Saturday now. )

Janesville (Itagaki) played Muskegan (McIsaac) in 4 games yesterday & today. Not much out there on it other than Janesville took 3 of 4.

The box score for the following wasn't posted but the lineup was posted as was the score, so we know that Eric Fawkes wasn't playing. I will keep posting Winkler games until Fawkes is in the Wilderness lineup.

On Saturday, the Winkler Flyers defeated the Thief River Falls Norskies (SIJHL) 5-2 in a preseason game. Eric Fawkes did not dress. https://www.mjhlhockey.ca/stats/game-summary/4011

Fawkes's preseason line is now 0-0-0-0-0.

Linus Udd-Hellgren had at least one assist in an intrasquad game. All goals were tweeted, but not all assists.

The years the men's recruits are listed as committed for are not necessarily accurate.
The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they tweet them with committals.

Great that we were watching and all, but I don't see us winning a recruiting battle against any of those teams except for Holy Cross

So you are assuming the coaches are wasting their time? What if the HE schools like the first line center but we want the left wing? Maybe there is a defenseman that wants to major in engineering and the other schools interested are Maine and CotHC. MSC isn't the incredible power house it was back in the Brian Lawton days, but they still have multiple talented players. One of these days one of the young hotshots that commits to us early will even follow through on his commitment. If we are going to walk away at the sight of BU or BC scouts in the building we might just as well call it quits. A new season is upon us, let's have at least a little optimism that things will get better. It's a big season for Smith to show continued progress. I think he will although we'd prefer to see it at a somewhat faster rate.

MSC isn't the incredible power house it was back in the Brian Lawton days, but they still have multiple talented players. One of these days one of the young hotshots that commits to us early will even follow through on his commitment If we are going to walk away at the sight of BU or BC scouts in the building we might just as well call it quits. That's my opinion too. We were probably not looking at the same players. At least not seriously. We probably were not looking at whomever the Canadiens and NHL CSB were although BU might. BTW, we are capable of giving Maine a battle these days..

Sorry for the pessimism but the numerous decommits have not exactly inspired hope in our recruiting efforts. It seems like we have no issues identifying talent and under-the-radar players, but we have not been keeping them once they breakout. See Fontaine and Sarlo as two recent examples.
