I just turned on today's women's game in the 2nd period. It seems fine now.

Just made my annual call to the HFH. Got through on the second attempt.

Now I can breathe easier that I haven't thrown out money on nonrefundable airline tickets.

I'm sure this was discussed and I missed the conversation, but I noticed on RPI's official schedule, there's no radio coverage of road games listed. Is that the plan for 19-20?

I know we discussed radio coverage recently, but I don't think anything definitive about the road games for this season was mentioned. My understanding is that just can't get students interested in doing the games, party because travel expenses for student broadcasters are not covered by the athletic department.

I wonder what Coach Smith and our Canadian players think about revenge on Brock for what Waite21 posted https://board.uscho.com/showthread.p...=1#post6833676.

We’re reimbursed. That isn’t the issue at all as to why we can’t get students to do games

Edit: Calvaruso indeed won't be eligible until after Christmas.

Still think it's weird that the athletics website lists him as a freshman. I also find it strange Kjellberg still does not have a picture

Smith did state that the Junior class consists of 3 players. That means he included Calvaruso in addition to Jerry and Marshall.

I know cost of travel was raised in the previous discussion on the 18-19 Part II thread as a possible culprit for a lack of student announcers, but glad that has been clarified.

RPI sports fanatics have plenty to look forward to on Saturday.

Festivities start at noon at the ECAV Stadium with a football game against Rochester. Rochester is one of RPI's oldest rivals in football. The series began in 1906 and the two teams have played 77 times. The Yellowjackets are the Engineers' third-most-played opponent.

In the evening, fans can return to the ECAV for the 7 PM kickoff of the men's soccer game against Union. RPI first played Union in soccer in 1948, though the gridiron football rivalry between the two schools dates back to 1886.

And in between, of course, fans will have time to stroll down to the Field House for the 4 PM faceoff against Brock. Hostilities between Brock and Rensselaer, as previously mentioned, date back to the Battle of Queenston Heights, 207 years ago.
