Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 201: A State You Don't Expect
I was resting on my bed without the boot, got up to go to the bathroom using my knee scooter, which is easier to use without the boot. Wheeled back into my room and was backing into place and my foot hit the boot and OMG I screamed! It hurt so much. I do not think I did any damage but man, it really hurt. And now I know why I should be wearing the boot. I just wonder if that’s the pain I’m going to feel when I can put weight on it. I don’t think I hit the boot that hard but I must’ve just hit it in the right (or wrong) place.

Evening, Lodge. Had a nice lunch with the parents, then checked out a new brewery. Holy sterile space. It was like a lab testing area. Beer was okay, but very unwelcoming in conversation and ambiance. Doubt I'll be back. A shame, too, since they could do a lot with it. Taking the 4-ish hour drive up north to check out a couple more breweries on an overnight trip, breweries I have never been to. From my past interactions with the staffs, it'll be a fun trip.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Evening, Lodge! Sitting in Moorhead MN, chilling after a fun day.
Hit up a brewery in Wadena MN (about 2.5 hrs northwest of the Twin Cities), and coincidentally, a friend and his gf were heading up in the same direction, so we met for a beer. Then it was on to Moorhead, another 1.5 hours westish of Wadena, to hit up another brewery. Much to my surprise, they were debuting their beer-slushie machine. So, had a sample of a strawberry sour slushie, which was delicious. Bought a bunch of stuff from them, to bring home for me and some friends. Got back to my hotel to watch the Twins win (yay!) and just relaxing at this point, winding down.
