Ruzzi is a good hire. Providence's loss and so aptly noted, apparently Yale too, is Princeton's gain.

Mel had a long and distinguished career, playing and coaching, at Providence. But she was at Yale last year.

New assistant coach at Princeton just announced. So both assistants from last season are in fact out

So did both Kilstein and Nash leave or were they fired after such a successful year? I haven't really been keeping close track of things since it's summer but this is somewhat confusing. Who can shed some light on this situation?

My understanding is that Kilstein left on her own. Not sure about Nash.

surprising after a great season. wonder what would have happened if the season had not gone well. Kilstein is a pleasure to talk to.

Jackie Kooistra has been named head coach of Aurora University, succeeding Grant Kimball, who left the post to be an assistant at Yale. Kooistra was previously the Girls Hockey Director for the Team Illinois' AAA Hockey Club and prior to that the head coach at Culver Academy, her prep alma mater. As a player Kooistra was a forward at UNH between 03 and 07. She will lead the Spartans into their third season of varsity play in the NCHA.

Great to see the former UW players move up the coaching ladder. Gives UW options once MJ retires in at least 10 years.

Jen Kindret, who resigned as HC of fledgling DIII program King's College in early August, was recently announced as an assistant coach at her alma mater RMU.

King's has yet to announce her replacement there.

Matt Woodward named assistant at Dartmouth. left after 2 years at Yale when they replaced HC. Good for him, seems like a nice guy

Does anyone know if she's the first African American head coach in NCAA Hockey?

Rachel Grampp (Elmira '18) leaves SUNY Canton's Assistant Coach position to take the same title at new conference rival Buffalo State (which is close to her hometown of Williamsville).

Canton hires recent grad Hannah Brady to take over as their Assistant Coach.

Perhaps not the most appropriate thread to ask this question, but, has anyone else noticed the lack of commitment announcements? These announcements were almost a daily thing this time last year. Can we attribute this to the new recruiting "guidelines"?

USA hockey just sent something out for the boys regarding changes but girls were not mentioned.

80 % of recruiting was done between NAHA and Stoney Creek with offers. Stoney Creek is last big tourney before college season starts.
