    This.

The team hasnít even played a competitive match under Berhalter and everyone is calling for him to be fired. Letís not be like Mexico, or at least the Mexico of old.

I guess I consider any time the team steps on the pitch as a competitive match...but that's me.
If they think they can just turn it on and win the Gold Cup...they are in for a rude awakening.

Friendlies, despite any ďall NT matches are importantĒ attitudes, are functionally different from actual, competitive matches. You only have so many NT matches so you have to experiment at some point. Is the result concerning? Sure, itís worrying. Do they need to fire a coach over it? Heck no. People need to chill tf out.

You expand from 16 to 24 teams youíre gonna have games like this.

Edit: Itís important to note that Asia gets 5 teams, on a continent where plenty of countries donít have teams, Thailand was 4th.

11-0 in the 84th. Now tied for biggest WC win. No signs of letting up either.

12-0 in the 87th. Morgan with 5. Now a Women's World Cup record for biggest win.

Morgan also just tied the record for goals in a game. Ties Akers of the US against Taiwan in the '91 WC.

Make it a baker's dozen. Lloyd puts one in at 90+2.

    13-0 USA

And that'll be the final. Finishes a goal short of the all-time USWNT win.

Another important note is that due to North Korea's ban in 2015, they were also banned from the Asian Cup, which is also a WC qualifier. That meant for the 2018 Asian Cup the dropped all the way to the bottom pot in the draws, and by luck were put into South Korea's group. They drew with SK and tied them in the group, but lost out on goal differential.

They could have just been easily put in a group where Thailand, Vietnam, or the Philippines was the top team. So instead of the 11th ranked team in the world, AFC sent the 34th. I've got a feeling USA vs DPRK would have been a little closer than 13-0.

Well they will play Sweden in the group stage, who beat them at the Olympics, and likely France in the Quarterfinals.

I had forgotten about that and wondered why N. Korea wasnít there.

The US got gifted a draw with Thailand and Chile.

    Edit: I didnít pay attention.
