If these results hold in Group A it’s potentially a huge dodge for the US. France finishing second in group means the US wouldn’t face them in the quarterfinals.
Edit: Nevermind, France finishes first with a draw.
But let's be real...There are 40 some other teams and only two alaskan teams...the day one of us wins something big will be the day I transfer to UAA

the VAR review of the PK for goalie coming off her line is just about the dumbest possible use of VAR possible. If the AR couldn't make the judgement in real time, its not enough to merit the card or the redo.

It’s a clear and obvious error.
The new LOTG specify that only foot has to be on the line so goalkeepers have legal leeway now. FIFA obviously wants it called tight. I just find it funny it’s gone from “meh” to “KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE F-ING LINE!!!”

what about the other 20 players on the PK? on the PK that was scored, there were french players inside the 18 before the kick was taken, is that a foul too? Isn't that clear and obvious?

In the abstract? Yes. In reality? No. The VAR and referees see what FIFA tells them to see.
It’s also not a foul, it’s an infringement. Fouls require the ball to be in play and be against an opponent. #referee
