From a follower of the Chicago Steel on the finishyourcheck site...... Very possible the Stars get 2 top 6 guys in Sarlo and Treloar with Groll being a legit middle 6 guy...... Anyone who has read a GDT this yr knows I was on Sarlo early and as the season went on thought he deserved top 6 and 2nd unit PP time. Kid is still 17, a June 01, over 6ft and 195 lbs and put up .50 pts per game (25 pts in 50 games) skating bottom 6 with no PP time..... Sarlo has a + release, heavy shot with quick feet and hands and shows IQ. IMO this kid will be a serious player, maybe a top player not just for the Stars but in the league. I'm a big big fan and have since I saw him in camp last yr. But the Steel don't win the Conference Final and get to the Final without Slavin.

Edwards, MacDonald, Konovalov, Francis, Knuble, McIsaac, Young, Humphrey, Sorkin, Lasak, Griswold, Liffrig, Orr, Gratton, Clark, Carfagna, Busby, Morrissey, McInchak, Palmer.

That certainly indicates he won't be playing in Troy in the Fall.

Summertime Ralph! Now we look for the tourneys/showcases some of the recruits might be playing in. Chowder Cup is upon us & Matt Cameron (if he’s still in the mix) is playing in the Pre Draft Showcase for Roc City Elite Red. BTW, I looked at all the Rosters & Matt is the only one for now. I thought Liebold might be playing for the Maryland Black Bears entry but he’s not listed. July might have more when all the Divisions will be in full swing. I suspect that he has not been in the mix but besides for not being listed in some places as committed to us, there is nothing on line about him decommiting.

FWIW, Mike Cameron is playing Roc City Elite '02 Roster. I noticed no one else who is now or has been an RPI commit.

Edit: I had also thought that Leibold might have been on one of the DMV (DC, MD, VA) teams, but they posted their rosters in tweets a few days back.

Most interesting. I would think that Waterloo would want him back. Perhaps he just didn't like Iowa or wanted to be nearer his family.

RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19 (Part III)

Bowman played in the USHL before dropping down to the NAHL for his final junior season. It seemed to work out for him as he went from 4th line type stats to top line/PP stats. Perhaps Cameron wants more high value ice time. Then again, there may be family matters. Either way, if he doesn’t show up as an RPI commit when the NAHL updates his listing it probably won’t matter to us anyway.

We can forget about Matt Cameron. His twitter page says "Niagara Hockey commit". I think I looked there about a week ago and it didn't say that. He probably added at the same time he entered "NJT".

I hadn't expected to see him for quite some time already.

Jack Brackett was drafted #20 in round 1 by the Minnesota Magicians. The NAHL listed him as 5'5", 135lb.
