It appears Devan McConnell is now working for the New Jersey Devils.

UMD tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster this morning. There's seats available in the corners for the Friday night game, but not a lot else. Saturday has a little more available, mainly in the 200 level, where there's plenty of seats at center ice.

The results from the HEA media poll are out. Lowell was picked to finish in 6th, but they also got 1 first place vote.

Umass was picked to finish first with 6 first place votes.

About what I expected. I thought BC would be higher than PC. Providence lost a lot of good players.

Lowell will appear on NESN 7 times this season: https://hockeyeastonline.com/men/arti...artnership.php

By the power of Excel spreadsheets. HE Mens teams appearances on NESN/NESN+

    Boston Coll. 15
    Boston Univ. 9
    Maine 10
    Massachusetts 16
    Merrimack 7
    Northeastern 13
    Providence 8
    UConn 8
    UMass Lowell 7
    UNH 13

    How'd BU only get 9?

BU’s been an underachieving team filled with draftees who were playing for themselves in hopes of leaving for the NHL, ASAP. Not so interesting

A better question would be, “Why does a well coached, rebuilding team like Lowell get just 7 appearances - the same number as UVM and Merrimack???

Because Lowell finished fourth, is predicted to finish lower this year by the media and coaches, and being well-coached and rebuilding (most teams are rebuilding) doesn't draw nearly as much interest as the teams from Norm's first few years with the program. It's the first year of the deal and we get one of the games at Duluth as part of the 7. Lowell has 5 away games on NESN which makes it easier for people to be able to watch the games. I'd rather have 5 away games on tv than be on tv 12 times and most of them being home games.
