The Mets hired Phil Regan as pitching coach.

Phil Regan faced Ted Williams in a game. Phil Regan is 82.

The Yankees broadcasters were saying yesterday there is no way they can see the Players Association agreeing to this proposal.

They also brought up the issue of the players' children. If they want to move their families to where they play, their kids have to constantly be changing schools.

Watching Twins relievers is not a good time. They are always right on the edge of failure.

On Friday, Dodgers' rookie Matt Beaty hit a walkoff homerun to beat the Rockies.

On Saturday, Dodgers' rookie Alex Verdugo hit a walkoff homerun to beat the Rockies.

This was the first time in the history of baseball that one team's rookies hit walkoff homeruns in back-to-back games.

On Sunday, Dodgers' rookie Will Smith hit a walkoff homerun to beat the Rockies.

Wilkin Castillo has a two game hitting streak. Big deal, you say? Well:

June 20 2009 he hit an RBI single.
June 22 2019 he hit an RBI double.
    3,654 days between those hits.

The Nets are no prize, either.

The Islanders should have been called the Islets.

I come from LI, too. However, I was "smart" enough only to latch onto the Jets. (I did like the Nets, too, in the ABA but when they sold off Dr. J after joining the NBA and then moved to NJ, I didn't care anymore.)

That was my entire pro hoops fan career as well.

Cool. Please tell us whatever you can. He's getting a lot of heat on the Mets' fan sites, tempered by the hope that this will get Mickey fired.

It sounds to me that he was entirely in the right and just ran into a JockSpasm (TM).

Good heavens. The Mets can't even do an apology right. They have to call everybody back in and do it again.

Getting good mileage from their Mr. Met appology graphic, eh?

Also, I really feel this should just be their standard appology graphic.

    - Manager pi**off the media? Post this.

    - Mr. Met give double middle fingers? Post this.

    - Blown saves. Post this.

    - Every November 22 for Fred Wilpon's birthday as a reminder of the Bobby Bonilla deal. Post this.

    - Every time Noah Syndergaard's caught banging a bottle blonde on the training room table mid-game. Post this.
