Well, the complete game went by the wayside several innings ago, but the Mets need just 3 more outs to get the W.

Congrats to the Mets. Twins need to win tomorrow afternoon to salvage a season series split with the Mets. So much for the blowout, Kepler.

Mets have won 9 of last 10 vs Twins.

Huh. Of course there's a strobe effect in that sample size, since the teams only meet a few times every 3 years.

The Twins need to win this second game to help them stay ahead of Cleveland.

I'm not going to be surprised at all if by mid-August Minnesota is in second place. They have a tough schedule coming up over the next month with series against Oakland, the Yankees, Cleveland, Atlanta, Texas and Milwaukee. They have a little lull in the middle of all of it with series against Miami, the White Sox and KC, but they've got 20 tough games against some good baseball teams over the next 30 days.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

I see the Twins are continuing their mediocrity.

    We swept.

I have to say, that is ridiculous. I genuinely hope this doesn't f-ck things up for you. Compared to pond scum like Boston, the state of TX, and NY (A), I am rooting for you.

Per ESPN, both Yelich and Bellinger have 34 HR a piece, more than the Tigers and Orioles have wins.

At this point, I'll bet Bellinger ends up with more HR than the Tigers' win total.

I'll probably jinx it by mentioning it here, but the Giants are on a 13-2 run including the last 6. Somehow only 2.5 back of the WC.

If it takes you 16 innings to beat the Mets, you suck.

I thought you were going to say more than Detroit and Baltimore have homers as a team, but somehow the Tigers have 85 homers this year. Twins have more than doubled them at 177.

The Tigers might not get much past 120. There's going to be players with more RBI than the Tigers have HR's.

Seattle with nothing happening whatsoever, at all, ever, so far in tonight's game through seven innings...
