The last time the Giants won at Fenway, it was the New York Giants playing the Boston Braves, in June 1915.

Twins need to finish 7-3 to reach 100 wins.

They also need to hit 11 more HR to reach 300 for the year. They are only 2 HR ahead of the Yankees for the season.

German placed on administrative leave. MLB is being very mum right now (other than to mention domestic violence policies), but you know it can't be good.

That didn't work out too well because he gave up 5 runs in the first 2 innings but SF did manage to make it interesting getting the bases loaded in the 8th after scoring 2 runs and the 9th but only got 1 in. Anywho, got to scratch another off the bucket list.

Mike Fiers and Chris Bassit of Oakland combine for a non-perfect non-no-hitter 27 up/27 down game (double play in the first and picked off a baserunner in the third.)

How many times has there been a non-perfect 27 up/27 down game?

IIRC Ruth started a game, walked the first hitter, argued and got ejected. The reliever came in, picked off the runner before throwing a pitch, then put 26 straight down. MLB listed it as a perfect game for decades until sanity finally reigned and it was downgraded.

    But that would be one.

    Here it is: Ernie Shore.

    Note time of game: 1:40

Mark Burhle did that against the Rangers in 2007. He walked Sammy Sosa then managed to pick him off of 1st base. This was a no-hitter however.
