The new AD's head looks like a pencil eraser. Lol.

His background doesn't show any indication of any sort of college coaching or playing experience. Strange. He seems like more of an events manager and fundraising person. Very strange hire!

I mean if he can bring in the money and keep the operations going and can let the coaches coach/recruit that doesn't seem like an issue per se.

It seems like the two coaches might have been a package deal and when one went the other followed.

EDIT: also looks like the two coaches were related, perhaps father and son. Departures were announced the same day, with the AD attributed in the announcement about men's coach Bill Moore and the Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Life named as announcing the departure of Greg Moore.
Regarding your edit: The two announcements are VERY different. The men's coach announcement is decent and quite professional but the women's coach announcement is very short and not so sweet at all. I'd guess the conflict/problem was with him and daddy quit in support of his son.

I hear the girls coach was selling all the sticks as soon as season was over. Dad taught him all the tricks and new AD did not think that was cool.

You mean selling the sticks and putting the money in his pocket? Is that a thing less scrupulous coaches will try to get away with?

It seems the new AD's forte is raising money, not a stretch to believe it would follow that he'd have eagle eyes about where the money goes.

So there's been no announcement of a program yet and the the AHCA posting has disappeared. Is WNEU backing out or just waiting to make the announcement?

    Re: 2019-20 DIII Recruits

Buffalo State has named Dave Dee, who served as the team's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in 18-19, the Head Coach. This is his second stint with Buffalo State, as he was a men's assistant from 97-05. Dee was heavily involved in running the Buffalo Saints youth hockey org, including starting their girls' program. His bio notes that he played goalie for UW-Superior as a player and had a 30 year career as a TV sports producer and director.

Vacancies left include: Chatham, Nichols, Stevenson, St. Mary's and St. Norbert. One could also include that Western New England University posting that disappeared...

Is Dee going to be a full time coach or are they sticking with their part-time model?

By the way: hearing O'Grady left Nichols to take the St. Norbert job.....

I always thought Buffalo State was F/T, just low pay....

I get that Nichols is a fledgling program, but is SNC that much of an upgrade? The women's team at SNC is no where on par with the men's program and the location isn't great. Giving up being 1 hour from three different cities (Boston, Providence and Hartford) to being 2 hours from Milwaukee. I hope he's getting a good bump in pay for this...

I seem to recall the Buff State job being posted as part time?

And yeah - apparently he's VERY happy with the new compensation (that was the driving factor).

    Re: 2019-20 DIII Recruits

For whatever significance you choose to take from it, this what Neutral Zone has as the recruting class rankings for DIII:

    1) SUNY Plattsburgh
    2) Williams
    3) Amherst
    4) Lake Forest
    5) Castleton

One issue I have with these ranks is that NZ doesn't seem to have all of the recruits. There are recruits on this thread not in their db.

    Couple more from Minnesota:

Apparently Gustavus is replacing their whole team - here are 3 more on top of what's below:

AllY Halverson - F - Rochester JM HS
Clara Billings - F - Rochester Lourdes HS
    Savannah Knutson - G - Willmar HS

and add to St. Thomas (wherever they end up playing)

Emma Larson - D - Maple Grove HS

The Gusties have 6 seniors (all positions). In addition they had 7 non-senior forwards scoring 5 or less points. Also they gave up 39 goals for the season which is great comparing to the league but if the programs has eyes on the big prize, they need to tighten up even further as only 2 of the last 10 championship squads have given up that many and won out.

With the exception of the 10-11 Norwich Cadets, every NCAA Champion in the last 10 seasons led the league in goals scored or goals against. The Gusties, which again should be acknowledged as a perennial contender and a model program in the league, hasn't led either category in that span. They can continue to do what they've been doing which is play as a top overall program and try to be the next 10-11 Norwich. Or they can do what many programs do: recruit as many talented players that fit their system as will join up each fall and let the rest sort itself out. It may be what propels them to being the top offensive or defensive (or both) squad.
