Looks like St. Norbert has an opening as well! Posted on Holy Cross website. Nothing I saw on St. Norberts.

St. Mary's posted openings for new HCs for both their men's and women's teams yesterday.

So both teams finished in 5th place which means they grabbed the last MIAC playoff spot, but both head coaches are now gone? Something isn't right here. Does anyone know more about this peculiar situation? Personality conflicts with their AD perhaps?

Quick check shows AD started this past fall. Perhaps he wants his own people? But nothing in his bio suggests a hockey background...

EDIT: also looks like the two coaches were related, perhaps father and son. Departures were announced the same day, with the AD attributed in the announcement about men's coach Bill Moore and the Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Life named as announcing the departure of Greg Moore.

The new AD's head looks like a pencil eraser. Lol.

His background doesn't show any indication of any sort of college coaching or playing experience. Strange. He seems like more of an events manager and fundraising person. Very strange hire!

I mean if he can bring in the money and keep the operations going and can let the coaches coach/recruit that doesn't seem like an issue per se.

It seems like the two coaches might have been a package deal and when one went the other followed.

Regarding your edit: The two announcements are VERY different. The men's coach announcement is decent and quite professional but the women's coach announcement is very short and not so sweet at all. I'd guess the conflict/problem was with him and daddy quit in support of his son.

I hear the girls coach was selling all the sticks as soon as season was over. Dad taught him all the tricks and new AD did not think that was cool.

You mean selling the sticks and putting the money in his pocket? Is that a thing less scrupulous coaches will try to get away with?

It seems the new AD's forte is raising money, not a stretch to believe it would follow that he'd have eagle eyes about where the money goes.
