Nice job except Clarkson did not dominate Cornell. Watch the game. Cornell I think had more quality chances to score than Clarkson but could only get one puck passed Kassidy Sauve who was just great in the nets. Clarkson (Gable/ Giguere) took advantage of 2 scoring opportunities in period 2 and buried those and Shelton (D) scored on a 2 on 1 on a perfect pass from Mariani when Cornell dman made an error at the blue line. You should watch the first goal and the play Giguere made to set up the goal and the second goal was just a snipe by Gabel.

My unofficial (because counting is not something I do well) records versus the rest of the NCAA field:
      Wisconsin (7-2)
      Minnesota (2-3)
      Northeastern (4-2-1)
      Clarkson (6-2-1)
      Boston College (3-3)
      Cornell (4-3-1)
      Princeton (2-5-2)
      Syracuse (0-8-1)
a little deceptive since all of MN games were against WI
which also makes WI look even better when you take those games away

I'm going with the home team for each
but the most likely upset is BC, followed by Cornell, followed by Princeton, and then Syracuse
by the time they actually announce the PK winner, Pankowski might have more points than Gabel

Sen. Birch Bayh, the author of "Title IX" (among a good number of other things he help foster and pass) died this morning.

There's a pretty darn good chance we all wouldn't be here talking about what we talk about if not for Title IX, and if not for Sen Bayh.

Looks like there is one closet 'Cuse fan on the site or someone pushed the wrong button.

Is 36 votes some kind of record?

It might be a record for this week. We had more participation earlier this decade, and from memory, I'd say that there was even more ~ 15 years ago. For example, this FF poll, one of Grant's favorites , got 56 votes:

Or more specifically, Chicago. Or at least Chicago in 1960 when the dead also voted, maybe twice.
