Re: Super Saturday ..Scores and then some...
Just got home. That was one heckuva hockey game.
Adrian looked like a totally different team than the 6-1 beat down at the CCC a few weeks back, They were incredibly quick getting the puck out of the defensive zone and psuhing it up ice very quickly.
It was a hard hitting game but for the most part clean. No Adrian "shenanigans." The 'ugliest' play of the night was a high cross check by a SNC player which resulted in a penalty. But it wasn't anything egregious.
AC came out flying in the second but couldn't score. After SNC was up 2-0, AC picked up a loose puck and tucked it in. After that, the Bulldogs dominated play but SNC did just enough to keep the lead. Then on what seemed to be first good offensive chance for SNC in nearly 10 minutes, a nifty pass set up Bates who buried it for the 3-1 lead. AC pulled its goalie with 1:25 left but didn't have great chances at the end.
Overall, a very solid and well-earned victory by the Knights. Just made a few more plays than the Bulldogs tonight.
I haven't kept tabs on everything tonight because I was at the rink but hoping for an 8-4 split so maybe SNC doesn't have to play UWSP before the final four...St. Norbert College Green Knights

425 Adrian to SNC
636 Adrian to Augsburg
So, perhaps Augsburg to SNC, Adrian to Point (and call out the extra security for that!) ...if Adrian's loss sends them below Augsburg...Last edited by GB Puck Fan; 03-02-2019, 10:37 PM.St. Norbert College Green Knights
