SLU up on Colgate 2-0. If we win, Colgate loses, and Princeton loses or ties, we're in 9th.

Just did a quick (not thorough) search of attendance records for the women's games and the highest I found was our first home game against a D1 opponent when we were D1 Independent. October 15, 2005, we scored with 4 seconds left for a surprising 1-1 tie with Colgate: 750 in attendance (myself and 749 friends). I think that it is safe to say we have never been over 1,000. Pretty sad, considering the quality of hockey and the entertainment value.

Lot of people don't like it because it's a very different game, especially since it doesn't involve checking. Average Joe on the street still thinks this is supposed to be a boxing match.

But do we want to be in 9th? It's all about the matchup at this point, right?

True. At its highest level (Canada vs US games) there is a lot of very physical play and also some great attendance. But once you get below that level attendance is fairly weak everywhere. Still, even by women's hockey standards support at RPI is disappointing. Best pep band support however, and best video coverage.

Does it sound to anybody else like the RPI-TV announcer's microphone isn't functioning very well?

Of the three possibilities, the only one we've beat in the last three years (thus far) is Union.
