Speaker for the Dead is a very good adult book, and Ender's Game is a very good young adult book.

OSC truly is insane, though. It's really sad that the author who was able to come up with the nuanced and subtle ethics and philosophy in Speaker fell hook line, and sinker for a bunch of racist fascists.

It's a bit like Scott Adams turning out to be a moron.

Rumor was the movie was titled Balance Of The Force Nd has been changed.

Now...as of today Disney doesn’t have a synopsis of the film. Very odd.
They seem to be in fear of their audience

It doesn't matter what they do, the hive of Internet fanbois will find a way to pan it.

Never doubt! For as awful as ATOC is it doesnt have a prank phone call in it and it doesnt have some slow moving OJ chase where the only people dumber than the bad guys (why lightspeed ahead of the "rebels" and stop them from reaching their goal we can just slowly chase them hoping they run out of gas...and yeah that is legit their plan) are the "rebels" whose whole plan is to have all of their forces together in one spot going to one planet being chased by a fleet. They pin all their hopes on finding a codebreaker on a casino planet (who they dont get to join) who is replaced by a criminal who, shock of shocks, double crosses them, and then their idiot leader who never tells anyone the plan decides to destroy one of their big ships by hyperspeeding into the enemy ship to destroy it...something which makes no sense based on what has happened in previous films. Now the "rebels" are trapped and the bad guys are set to destroy them but they are duped by one of the worst deceptions of all time. (so one guy gets blasted by dozens of blaster bolts without a scratch and you all dont think he might not actully BE THERE?!?) All of that is in TLJ

AOTC sucks for a dozen reasons all of which are legit but at least it makes sense in the course of the story. (they just neglect to tell it all so we can see Yoda fight Dooku for no reason and we can see Anakin and Padme run around in a Julia Roberts film for half an hour) The Jedi are being played and the Republic is being destroyed from within due to laziness and arrogance. So far everyone in these films, good or bad is so dumb I kind of wish the big bang would come and destroy the Galaxy

Knights of Ren prominent role, a new threat and villain that will split the fight between first order and resistance and a new concept or place called “the beyond”. Those are the plot elements being talked up recently. Sounds like a lot of Light and Dark side backstory will be divulged.

I don’t know if Abrams has it in him to fix the sequels, tie them to the prequels AND wrap skywalker’s story. Sounds like he has Coppola/Kubrick sized ambitions which...I don’t Know

                    Trailer out Friday.

It will be attached to Endgame as well.

Thrawn plays a role but it may be holograms or old recordings. It has something to do with the new threat. I believe Ezra Bridger is in for sure. The new baddie may come from the beyond. Not sure what that is. I haven’t watched rebels or the other cartoons show, maybe it’s explained there?

Cautiously optimistic on this but...it’s Also possible 4,5 and R1 will remain the best of the SW ad infinitum.

I'm willing for him to swing for the fences. If he hits that's great, a capstone worthy of 4/5. If he misses then it's just another 1/2 to throw in the sh-tter and forget.

Lucas already sullied the franchise so irrevocably it doesn't matter if there is another clunker. It's strictly a la carte now.

                        F-ck it, let's tie in the Alien/Predator universe. :-)

If you're not interested in watching any of the cartoons... [white out]

Ezra Bridger, in the last couple episodes, got himself into a direct conflict with the Emperor rather than just the Empire. It had to do with a Jedi temple, and the power it held. There was a Force portal there, and the Emperor was trying to use it to bend both time and reality. The key was configuring three icons of The Father (balanced Force), The Son (Dark side), and The Daughter (Light Side), who were introduced during a story arc in the Clone Wars show. In short, Ezra wins the battle. He uses the portal to go back in time to rescue Ahsoka Tano (She's Anakin's apprentice during the Clone Wars show, but was expelled from the Order when falsely convicted of an attack against the Jedi, later cleared. She later helped form the Rebellion with Bale Organa [Ahsoka novel], and even later then helped directly with Ezra and Kanan [Ezra's master] win some battles. After that, Ezra goes into the portal in an effort to do more good for the galaxy than he could by staying with the Rebellion, just prior to the events that led up to Rogue One.

Meanwhile, Thrawn's story was never concluded in the show. His fleet was beaten by the Rebels in S3 of the show, but that was due to the incompetence of ship captains, who did not follow Thrawn's orders/battle plans because they were instead seeking personal glory. It's canon now (Thrawn novel) that Thrawn joined the Empire in order to use it to save the Chiss from a different threat in the Unknown Regions - the Empire being the lesser of two evils scenario. So he may have done the same with the First Order.

The entire problem is that Marvel had a plan leading to Endgame and Star Wars was Disney handing Star Wars to directors and say "Make us money" with no unified plan for this trilogy. It's probably going to end up looking like a half billion dollar version of Mad Libs between Abrams and Johnson. Just because George RR Martin and JK Rowling are both fantasy authors doesn't mean you have them alternate books writing a series

Star Wars has a story narration board, and canon reference guy, and all sorts of things like that in the Lucas Films division, and they're supposed to coordinate the novels, comics, TV, and movies into a single, cohesive story. The problem is that I just don't think those people are particularly good at their jobs. They tried to take some easy ways out when it came to the pressure of getting more movies in the pipeline in order to meet the Disney revenue goals.

                                Leaked Star Wars trailer:

After Mufasa falls from the cliff and is trampled, Simba makes his way through the jungle and finds the hidden and mysterious land of Wakanda. For his training to return and defeat Uncle Scar, Black Panther sends him to Ilum to find his own kyber crystal. While searching he stumbles across an egg which hatches into a xenomorph. Wolverine and Human Torch team up to defeat the xenomorph. Armed with his new lightsaber Simba and his allies, Luke Skywalker and Scarlet Witch, return to Pride Rock to take the kingdom back. As the trailer ends, Deadpool appears and asks audiences why they are still watching and not already buying tickets.
