It was Nantz or Romo that said BB didn't have to even throw five or six guys at Goff. He's young and still new to high pressure situations. Throw four guys at him in exotic packages. Just enough to confuse him. That should have been stopped by the coaches working with the line and backs as blockers.

For the three people who care, the AAF starts this weekend on CBS. Overview:

      - 35 second play clock
      - No extra points, only two point conversions
      - No kickoffs - receiving team gets the ball at their own 25
      - "Onside kick" is a 4th and 12 from your own 28
      - OT is one possession each, 1st and goal from the opposing 10, no field goals allowed, must go for 2 if you score. Game can end in a tie.
      - "Skyjudge" who can overturn player safety calls/PI from the booth

So, this is something else and not Vince McMcMahon's deal? I see XFL starting in 2020. Wow, another saturation of failed **** coming down the pike.

Quick slants, screen passes, etc. Don't think handing the ball off more would have worked because the line wasn't holding up.

Beyond that though, your playmakers need to make plays and that's on the receivers. Edelman was getting open all day and Gronk showed up when it counted and made a great catch on the TD drive. Absolutely no skilled players on the Rams offense stepped up.
Or, he could have simplified his game package. But it seemed they kept on being the high flying Rams, and expected Goff to not have any issues.

He needed to address his blocking scheme more.... Even with the change to zone, Goff never had enough of a look to start figuring it out.

Well, the Raiders WILL NOT be playing at AT&T Park next season. SF refuses to waive territorial rights.

Is this where we queue the Benny Hill theme?

Funny the team that plays 55 miles from San Francisco can tell the team that plays (played) 17 miles from San Francisco that they can't play in San Francisco.

Not sure if San Diego is still in play, but if not, I'm with Southie: just go to Sam Boyd. It's already got more capacity than StubHub and while not the ideal part of Vegas, it's at least Vegas and will energize the fan base.

Why is the NFL intent on eliminating if not all onside kick attempts at least successful ones?

Why is NFL Network showing AAF games? Shouldn't they be trying to squash competition?

Because they can’t squash everything like an ant. Otherwise they might run afoul of the DOJ.

They have to do it quietly.

I spose. Steal the good ideas and then shut them down.

Heard the players are mostly NFL roster cuts and unsigned free agents. I suspect the XFL will be where the "hotshots who aren't interested in college" end up, at least for the first few years.

Agree that NFL needs a minor league that isn't the NCAA.
