I had to go through one for my job... So did the hubby.
If a job requires one... Gun ownership sure as hell should.
Careful, my job is drug-tested, so in that case, so should welfare... (yes, I'm being a jerk right now).
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I'd have no issues with that.
Another thing on my husband's job is.. It's a temp job. But because he works at a place that deals with financial information he had to pass an FBI check both with the temp agency and the place he works at and the fingerprinting for the place he works at.
It makes zero sense to me that employment is more stringent than gun ownership.

It shouldn't matter if it's a temp job or not. If that job requires it, no matter how long the length of employment, those are the rules for that job. Just sayin'.

I don't disagree... But that isn't the point.

If I went for my NP license in NH I would need to do a background check, fingerprinting in State Police. I got my RN license in late 80s that I let lapse but they reinstated without needing to do anything. Made no sense to me.

I have to get fingerprinted every so often for my job along with multiple background checks, no drug testing though. Granted I work at an airport...

At my job, given the forklifts/cherry pickers, if there is an accident, no matter if there's damage or not, you are off machines until you get drug-tested again. They are pretty strict on that.

I'm fine with it because they're already out there for, uhhh, reasons.

So you don't have TSA Pre then? And you've never had to submit to a fingerprinted background check for a job that would involve you having access to sensitive data?

In defense, if you HAVE to do it, ok. But to volunteer it on your own? No thank you.

Anyone else find it interesting, after Nancy Pelosi calls for a national emergency to grab the guns, there's almost immediately two resets of this calendar?

I'd say the left is getting desperate to push their tyranny, and we're seeing right through it.

I am sure you really can't be this stupid in person. Or at least I hope against all hope.

'Just sayin'' is just believing. So you would sooner allow just anyone to own a gun...than just help anyone to not sleep on the street?

Now we know where this country's gun problem comes from.
