Even if you were 20th in PWR, you'd always have shot in the HEA tourney. Even if your record against the top half of the league hasn't been great so far, I have faith!

Worst offense in the country puts up five on Northeastern. Wow.

On another note, I was watching some of the goals on the HC Twitter feed. What does it say about some of the other teams that the atmosphere at the Hart Center is more electric than places like BC, BU, and Northeastern? Holy Cross seems to actually draw a little crowd. I've seen BC games where it looks like 50 people are in the audience.

First time I watch Clarkson this year and they did not look very good. Maybe this was a bad game for them but not what I expected from a #3 team. So many d-zone mistakes and break outs were non existent. Colgate looked very good, worked hard and played a very strong defensive game. They looked organized.

I can't rip on BC fans, because I was at a game in the Midwest once where there were Eagles fans (not parents) in attendance, and they'd come by train from Boston. For a regular-season game. Respect.

The Hockey East Championship goes through BC. If the Eagles can be bothered to play to at least 80% of their capability, nobody in HEA can hang with them. Everyone here knows this. Yes, we rip on your team defense, and it does suck. But if you posses the puck for the whole game, it won't matter.

Mostly, I'm just glad to see NU out of that second spot in the PWR. But if you guys aren't careful, PC is going to take Hockey East. They might have the best coach in the conference.

If you put BC in an arena that holds 1,600 people we'd have an atmosphere too.

What a fun week that was. We actually took a GREYHOUND BUS. Or rather several of them. It took us 36 hours. We also almost got stuck in the bad part of Cleveland at like 2am. That part was less fun.

I remember Ridder going nuts when Miss Minnesota Hockey scored for BC. That was fun. Didn't we tie one of those games?

I can't believe how this season has played out. If you had told me before the season that we would have 5 losses by the end of November I would have thought that was unfathomable.

I rather suspect Tuesday night's win just might have made them take Holy Cross for granted. A classic case of an emotional letdown?

What an embarrassment really. It brings to a screeching halt all the accolades they were getting following their victory over BC. Makes for a very imbalanced week for them to say the least. For shame! Lol.

Some interesting results so far this weekend but this game for Northeastern takes the cake. Look, I was at the game that Minnesota fell behind winless Bemidji 2-0 in the first game but won 6-2 and struggled to beat the second game 2-1. However, they managed to get it done. Northeastern, even with a supposed letdown should have been able to overcome said letdown and beat HC if they are to be considered a top 5 team.

    Ongoing craziness

Cornell beats Clarkson, making the Golden Knights winless on the weekend
    BU sweeps BC
    Vermont beats Maine
    Connecticut beats Providence

So Colgate loses some seemingly no brainer games then sweeps Clarkson and SLU in not so close games.

What this weekend really needs is for Mankato to beat Ohio State.

    Oh, wait . . .

Im counting six top ten teams that lost to unranked opponents this week. Quite something. I hope Mercyhurst is fired up to take a shot at getting back in the top ten. Theyve got Bemidji next week, then Ohio State.

Hey Yall.....quick question....once your fave players graduate, do you follow them on their respective new teams and watch their games? I watched the Whitecaps vs. Pride yesterday.....( I watch NWHL as often as possible), the quality is insane and watching these teams that are just shy of being Olympic caliber, is awesome! Stecklein, Coyne, Decker, Pfaltzer, Burt, Leveille, Curtis, Skamurra, Krizova, Meeri (Whales goalie...too long a last name).....some seriously great hockey! Im hoping that these Ladies can depend on this dedicated group of fans to help promote and support their future endeavors! Cheers, Zoofer

Wisconsin played their second string goalie for the last two periods, and the last three goals were scored by the fourth line playing on a power play, a fourth liner scoring her first goal of the year, and a short-hander. It wasn't like the Badgers were trying to run it up, but sometimes there's only so much you can do.

Syracuse is just that bad. They only found a way to put 9 shots on goal over 60 minutes. That's less than 2 shots every 10 minutes. That's pathetic! Meanwhile their opponent scored the same number of goals as that. That's really pathetic!
