Looking at one team just outside the SUNYAC, The Canton Kangaroos putting together a nice little season so far:

win and a tie v. Freddy
      win v. Adrian
      win in the Pathfinder Tourney
      win v. Platty

      Overtime junkies- 6 total (2-2-2)

      # 35 in the PWR

As has been said, this team is trending up.

In the same lines of "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound...."

.....is beating Plattsburgh really a big feat?

Take nothing away from Canton, but measuring your teams "success" or "failure" on the basis of beating today's Plattsburgh teams isn't the same any more.

Off year, but still Plattsburgh nonetheless. Now, beating Genny this weekend would be a big feat.

But OZFEST isn't just pointing out the Platty win for Canton. He was pointing out the entire body of work -- win and tie against Fredonia, win against Adrian, winning the Pathfinder. Even the victory against Potsdam because of how it was attained -- down 3-1 in the third and then scoring four straight goals.

Canton has been impressive. Coaches told me at the start of the season that Canton was going to be capable of beating anyone if they take the Roos too lightly. Adrian certainly learned that...

There are no easy points in SUNYAC play, but when you play Plattsburgh you have to throw records and rankings out the window and respect them. There's a reason even in a down year they are always in the thick of it until the end.

Canton has taken a step BUT they didn't win the Pathfinder...

We must look ahead. Loses behind us now. Go for the win we desperately need. Found a way to beat Genny first semester so hope to try again. Let’s not be down on the team . They have a lot of important SUNY games ahead. All the best to them! GO CARDS!!!
