Take the Senate, confirm 2 Warren nominees for every Dump confirmation. Done.

Drunky McRapist is on the Court for life, we can't change that.

He can be impeached. He lied to the committee. The only reason he's on the Court for life is because he has the corrupt party that everyone votes for (bsabsvr) running interference for him. It's the same reason Trump is still in office.

The longer this goes on the more I realize how much better the Republicans play victim. And how much better they go after what they want.

He can...but they are going to need either the FBI to stop collaborating or tangible evidence. This story is not going to be enough. Lets hope it is the catalyst though to spark a torrent of the truth coming out.

Since we allowed Barr to be confirmed (Sessions was bad but had a little bit of regard for the Institution at least) the DOJ, FBI, and all the district offices are entirely under Trump's control. This is no longer the 70's and Nixon. We now have the criminals with complete control, a complicit media apparatus, and a complicit political party in power.

Nothing can move the needle.

Even good reporting (the fifth estate, our last refuge) no longer works because 1/2 the population doesn't believe in facts.

No Scooby, I don't remember Watergate as I was too busy being born around that time (see - it wasn't ALL bad back then!) But, its nice that liberals are finally starting to realize that the press isn't their friend, only about 40 years too late!

I think it would be more accurate to say the Press used to be trusted. The insane competition caused by the 24/7 news cycle and our constant need to be entertained have led to less diligent fact checking, for sure. But a LOT of pure fantasy was doled out in "those days." There were the Jack Andersons of their day, but there were also a lot of reporters feeding consumers the fairy tale version of America.

Plenty of entities in The Press are doing solid investigative work -- now more than ever. "The Press" isn't the problem. The problems are:

1) The most well-known entities in the media are corporate entertainment divisions. Either they can't run real news stories because their portfolio is entertainment (dummies won't sit still for difficult information) or they won't run real news because it would implicate their corporate ownership in crimes (the Plutes own the major media outlets and censor them from reporting on the theft of public resources by the rich).

2) The vast majority of obscure entities in media are garbage -- either outright lying bots run by bad actors or incompetent conspiracy theorists run by insane actors.

3) The tiny minority of obscure entities in media doing the real work are overwhelmed by the sheer mass of the competitors.

The information is being gathered and reported but we'll never see it. Capitalism has reached its most perfect form of self-protection, not through active authoritarian coercion, but by flooding the zone with crap.
