No player has gone directly from the NTDP to the NHL, but Hughes will probably have a chance at becoming the first. I'd compare his glide speed to Dylan Larkin or even Mike Modano, and his elite passing and puck control to Connor McDavid. He's better than Mittelsdorf.Originally posted by Koho View Post

I don't know about that. Sure, his individual skills are better, but Middlesdorf seemed like he was playing two positions on the ice at time, both forward and defense.
