If UNO has the edge in RPI and ASU has the edge in CO and they split the series 1-1-0 the Pairwise Comparison would be 2-2 but the tiebreaker is RPI so UNO would win (hypothetically of course).

The biggest issue I've had with PWR is that there is no possible way to "flip" an RPI comparison loss without a head to head win. This is why last year was such a great schedule for MTU and why I am always advocating they participate in more tournaments. The easiest way to overcome MTU's "bad" conference is to play as many single games against NC opponents and win them, giving you a chance to flip comparisons despite a deficiency in RPI.

If you go 1-0 against a bunch of teams you at least have a chance to flip enough comparisons to get yourself top 16.
Somehow I thought you got points for winning away games.

So what you are saying also is that rather than going to Boston like MSU did last year and playing two games vs BU. if they had played 1 vs BU and 1 vs Lowell and won both, that would have been a better result. And would that also have benefited the rest of the teams in the league?

Road wins count extra for the RPI point, so if you split with a team at their place, you'll get an RPI boost out of it, which can (and often is) the tiebreaker between teams.

Would it benefit the WCHA if they could get a couple NC teams to come in and play at Tech and NMU on Friday night then drive 100 miles to play the other team on Saturday? Assuming Tech and NMU win both nights? I'd like to see that type of arrangement. It would be fun to see some different teams and one game against each would be OK with me, I dont need it to be a two-game series.

on some level yes, but you have to win...it could also help if you win a bunch of those and are able to win common op against both teams because they lost to NMU in their one game while MTU went 3-1 or whatever...

In case you were wondering, it's the WCHA who hands out suspensions to Arizona State players.

Here's a summary of the top 5 teams 2nd half schedules.

    Code:

Away (8) Mankato, Bemidji and Anchorage back-2-back, LSSU
BG Home (8) Bemidji, Ferris, Alaska, Huntsville

Bemidji Home (8) Alaska, Tech, Northern, BG
Away (8) BG, LSSU, Ferris, Mankato
Four teams have back-to-back away series that includes a trip to the 49th.

Northern appears to have the biggest challenge (2 fewer home games and an AK back-to-back) while the newly crowned GLI champs have an opportunity to host a first round playoff game.

The record against the NCHC is just brutal. No way around it.

    We’re sorry 😞

ASU is coming north next season, so hopefully we can actually score that time around.

Right now, Mankato and BG are in. LSSU is at 19.

NMU has moved up t, but I don't think my alma mater gets in without a conference championship.

If NMU were to run their win streak to 10, those next 4 wins might be enough to put them on the bubble.

Those 4 wins in a vacuum get NMU to 18th, still a lot to climb the next 4. I really don’t see anyone but BGSU, MSUM, and maybe LSSU getting at large bids.

I assume that by winning those games, NMU hurts the quality of the W by adding losses to BGSU and Mankato?

We really don't have anyone to blame but ourselves... 1-6 in Non-con will do that, no matter how good your opponents are....
