Re: UNH Commits & Recruiting: 2019 and Beyond

UNH Commit Tim Stützle scored the game-winning goal and an insurance goal (see video below) as Jungadler Mannheim won the 2019 DNL U20 Championship. According to Janik Beichler, Germany Regional Scout for Future Considerations, Stützle is "expected to join the Sioux City Musketeers for his (NHL) draft year, then UNH in 2020."

….and he comes in with Tim Stutzle, joins Angus C, Jackson P, Eric E, MacAdams, matured blueliners MacKinnon and Verrier, with Robinson, Grasso as Seniors. If it all falls into place, should be a great combination! Of course, that all depends on a few variables but have fingers crossed! Doubt we'll keep Gildon as a Senior, but, you never know...

Lose a Lucas, gain a Lucas (sounds like a good thread title).

The new Lucas worries me. If we were going to pick up decommit / castoff I would rather somebody who puts the puck in the net a bit more... One of the younger guys or Budy...

So, looks like Herrmann is a replacement for BVR

In his first season in the USHL, 18-year-old Lucas Herrmann is the Alternate Captain for the Madison Capitals. He plays center and left wing. He, along with fellow UNH commit Kalle Eriksson (D), play on the Capitals' first power play unit. He's scored 6 power play goals, a game-winning goal, and a shootout goal. His offensive specialty is play around the net, particularly in the low slot/crease area. He also plays on the Capitals' penalty kill. The 6'2", 187 lbs forward, plays a physical game and has accumulated 50 penalty minutes. Feature article including an interview coming soon.
