I think the series will go to three. As lopsided as the regular season scores were, I don't see that happening this weekend. I think Benson is better in net than any of Union's goalies. We need to shoot the puck, keep shooting the puck and stay out of the sin bin. Go 'Gate!!

Two quick goals, with the second of those two being a result of sloppy play in front of Mitch (and I’m sure he wants that one back).
The good thing is that our team doesn’t give up.

I want what you're smoking, UF. Fun is not the word I would use to describe anything associated with Colgate's program. We are in a state of disbelief. I hope the players feel otherwise because they are not to blame for our program's demise.

I thought the Union announcers, although a little cocky, were quite good - objective in analysis for the most part. Interesting, they seem to reflect what is now a staple of the men's hockey program at Union: a high level of expectations. Our program, on the other hand, communicates an approach that is frankly disheartening: "we're playing a great team", "we had a number of bad breaks", "things seem to be picking up", "the effort is there". I would agree with the late statement, as our current kids DO give almost 100% on the ice. The problem is not at the bottom of the pyramid, it's at the top. I will be interested in watching if any news emanates from our Athletic Department at the end of the season. I certainly won't receive any news from the Silver Puck Council other than the date of the summer golf tournament...

35 games...29 games scoring 2 goals or less...shut out NINE times...and this is after losing only one serviceable forward from last year (Panowyk)...losing Cockrell after 7 games has hurt, no doubt...but overall man games lost to injury this year are not especially high vis-a-vis our opponents. God, I hope they win tonight; these young men deserve it. But this is a very tough climb...
