This is a one hour interview, so you have to be a huge fan of RPI hockey and of Lovisa Selander to enjoy it, but I thought it was great! Pisacano does a great job as an interviewer. What I liked most about the interview is that it provided a real insight into what it is like to be a D1 athlete while pursuing a demanding academic program, and also insights into how RPI attracts top talent like Selander: as often as not it is the athlete that identifies the school as the right fit and reaches out. That was the case when my daughter chose RPI as well. But I'm not sure how RPI can make that happen more often. It will always be tough to compete with Minnesota etc in just recruiting on hockey talent alone. How do we attract more Selanders?

Re: RPI Engineers 2018-2019
I missed this a couple of weeks ago.
Sophia Jones (Connecticut Polar Bears U16) commits to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for 2022-2023 @RPI_WHockey
— WHockey Commits (@WHockeyCommits) May 3, 2019
Congratulations to Sophia Jones on her commitment to @RPI_WHockey #RollBears @WillistonGVHCKY @WHockeyCommits pic.***********/OQOxmQxw9h
— Connecticut Polar Bears (@CTPolar) May 4, 2019
According to Neutral Zone, Elite Prospects, and https://collegecommitments.com/Commi...x?x7cq9=FEMALE she is our first 2022 recruit. She is currently 15 years old.
Elite Prospects page https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe...9/sophia-jones
This is what will appear when I next post the recruits list unless I find more info:
Code:6 Sophia Jones D 05/02/19 Connecticut Polar Bears 16U 2022 09/23/03 5'03" 135 Westfield, MA 3.50 6 Williston Northampton School
Interesting that she committed to us despite the fact that an assistant coach at Williston Northampton is Alex Tancrell-Fontaine, a former Union player and sister of former RPI men's recruit Gunnarwolfe Fontaine.Last edited by Ralph Baer; 05-15-2019, 01:53 PM.

Re: RPI Engineers 2018-2019
New D recruit for 2020 according to Neutral Zone: Alyssa Denney. I found her mentioned nowhere else connected to RPI although a Google search claims it is mentioned on her Instagram account.
PWHL page https://pwhl3.stats.pointstreak.com/...seasonid=19107 change https to http
Elite Hockey https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe.../alyssa-denney
The following will eventually appear on the recruit list:
Code:88 Alyssa Denney D xx/xx/19 Toronto Aeros (PWHL) 2020 02/24/01 5'04" 135 Keswick, ON 3.50
