@winsford99: It was a vicious play and the poor dear who got brushed had to collapse until medical attention came. If I ever get a terminal ailment I want soccer trainers to treat me. They revive the near-dead repeatedly. https://twitter.com/rcamcole/status/1011521453420875776

Argentina currently going through. If Nigeria equalize they can go through. And if Iceland score, they can go through.

Argentina needs to win 2-0 to not care much about the other game...

            Go Nigeria!

Then again, I was very much hoping for major upsets- it would have been awesome for Sweden to beat Germany, and Iran to beat Portugal. I was hoping to see Brazil go down, too.

Too much domination from the same teams. Gets old.

If there is supposed to be a standard and you let far worse go in the box throughout the tournament in regard to holding I don't see how you call that one.

Now, if the standard was set from the get go that that little grab will be called, fine. But to start making that call at this juncture with what's on the line...don't like it at all.

                  compared to other no-calls, yes

France-Argentina and possibly Brazil-Germany in round of 16

Jesus, I just saw the ARG goal 2. I think Raytheon makes a missile like that.

                        Iceland and Nigeria are eliminated.

Funny how the scenarios work out during the final day. When both games were tied Iceland had to win by two, but when Argentina was up they simply needed to win. But, had to press too hard and gave up an easy counter to aceparía to finish it off.

With my 538 fandom in the Ticos out, and now my chosen fandom in Iceland gone, I guess it's off to root for Japan/Senegal in group H.

Group F could be quite interesting tonight and hopefully will deliver.

SER-BRA should also provide fireworks unless SUI go up 2+ early with that game still tied and SER then decides to clamp it down.

I doubt it. Eastern Euros aren't exactly progressive on gender issues.
