                  I'm dumb and out of touch with society.... How exactly does a Gender Reveal work? How does the mother do the blood test, but not get the results? Do they take the blood test (or whatever it is to determine genetics) and then have the results sent to their BFF who then bakes said lasagna? I get that the mom can do this without telling the dad... I just don't understand giving medical info to a 3rd party in the case where neither mom or dad know

                    "Gender Reveal" should accurately be renamed "genital reveal." Once the sex of the child is known, then idiot parents plan a party around it, sometimes with pink or blue cake, or in this case, $140 lasagna.

                    I'm not able to have kids of my own any more, but if I could, my partner and I wouldn't dream of such a stunt.

                      I think the doc puts the sex in sealed envelope and that is what the parents take to a baker or whatever.

                                There are a lot where they don’t know hence the sealed envelope from the dr. I think it’s usually people who want a good Instagram post.
