I'm surprised NMU Sr. Goalie Atte Tolvanen didn't get an invite anywhere this Summer.... He went to the Nashville Predators 2017 Developmental Camp last Summer....

You're unsure if five current players and one graduate attended NHL rookie camps, and yet just 19 days ago *YOU* posted (a mere four posts above) that three of them were in training camp, and obviously saw my reply with the other two active players.

Coach Grant Potulny will by my guest Friday morning on 100.3 the Point. The two parts will air starting around 8:05 and 8:35 am. We’ll discuss what the coach has been up to for the sunmer, the roster depth, the schedule and the upcoming season!

So I just received my Northern Magazine in the mail yesterday, and had to tweet the excitement I saw in it:

They're going to be celebrating the Alumni who played in the NHL inside the BEC. Something I've seen on a smaller scale in the locker room; but this is much welcomed, and in a more public setting. It's going to be great to see the photos of the (as of now) 21 alums who have played in the NHL (even Don Waddell's lone NHL game).

What a great thing to see the University finally do!



*edit* I do have a SLIGHT irk that jumped out at me from that article. The logos on Dallas Drake's banner. Yes, he played for the Winnipeg Jets, but he didn't play for *those* Winnipeg Jets. He was on the Jets/Coyotes franchise, not the Thrashers/Jets franchise. This is the logo that should be on it:
