I'm not a fan of Jesse Ventura, but his straight up telling the press that organized religion was a crutch was awesome. Zero effs given, that guy. Really a shame he turned out to be nuts.

I wish I didn't check this thread out today. My faith in human intelligence was around an 8, it's been a good day, now it's about a 4. And I'm being polite.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

You could have 666. You could of course also have 777 because it also looks like the letter zayin. To me they look the most like nun sofit. Which would be the dreaded 505050.

To be fair you should never check the religion thread when you want human intelligence.

                            This is great, thanks!

I had 3 years of Latin HS and college. Time to see if any of the synapses are still connected.

I'd have wanted it all in my head. I learned ecclesiastical Latin so I don't have to unlearn pronunciation. What I would really like is to be able to read Aquinas in the original. I love scholastic philosophy but I can't help feeling I will never truly be able to engulf it without the language, like needing to know Arabic to truly get the Koran.
