NHL teams often push to sign college prospects after their junior year. The reason is that if they play the 4th year in college, the NHL team loses exclusive rights and the player is free to sign anywhere. That's what happened with Jimmy Vesey from Harvard a couple of years ago. Nashville owned his rights but he played the 4th year and then signed with the Rangers.

So if the Caps want Priskie it is likely they will push to sign him his off season. It doesn't mean he will go, but be prepared. He might.

Isn't it August 15th of their senior year that allows them to become a free agent? That's what Vesey held out for.

While I won't fault him if he goes, I think Chase will be back and will be determined to get QU back to the top.

That's not entirely accurate. Teams only lose seniors' rights if they don't sign by late in the summer.

True but NHL teams often don't want to take it down to the wire. So they will often sign their NCAA prospects after their junior year. I've seen it happen a number of times with my "other" team, Michigan.

This past year, your home games were broadcast using ESPN3. I just noticed a new streaming service being offered through ESPN: http://www.syracuse.com/tv/index.ssf...g_service.html

Are there any plans to migrate over to that, or do you plan on remaining on ESPN3 for the foreseeable future?

Haven't heard anything... but I'd say no since they want to provide a free stream as far as I know.
