It wasn't that comeback. It was THE Comeback. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Co...ican_football)

      Give it its proper respect.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

It's weird that so late in the coaching search it seemed like he had lost, but then very late in the process he was able to come back, seemingly out of nowhere, to win it.

Yes, and that was the greatest comeback in college football history (at the time, don't know if it was broken).

Referring to Reich as Super Sub is an understatement.

I see from that Wikipedia article, the college record was broken in 2006 by Michigan State over Northwestern.

That article says the game was blacked out. That's not true. I watched the game live in my house, not at a bar. And Rochester is in the Buffalo Bills blackout zone (which has always been very controversial and has even led to some lawsuits).

It was a playoff game! No way it was blacked out

I've read a couple of articles that the game was blacked out in western NY.

It was if it wasn't sold out. They always black out locally if all the seats aren't sold.

                            Which is strange.

I distinctly remember watching it, because as not a Bills fan, I stuck with it, and mocked all my Bills fans friends who gave up.

                              Was this you?

My dad had tickets waiting at the stadium if we wanted to go, but there was too much ice in Rochester so we stayed home. Instead, we watched the game in the cold attic, sticking the TV out the window so we could pick up the Syracuse station that was playing the game (it was blacked out locally).
