Clark is out of the lineup again tonight. According to the lineup sheet he's injured.

Poor guy seems snakebit. He's missed a lot of games in his jr career.

Lowell picked up another new recruit today:
        https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/359030/owen-cole

Owen was on this year's WJAC Canada East roster, but did not register a point. Participating in that event would indicate that he must be a pretty good player.

Owen is currently tied for first in scoring in the CCHL with 43 points (16-27-43).

NZ gave him a B+ in the recent Eastern Canada Cup.
Owen Cole (F, LH, Ottawa/CCHL, 00) – Owen stuck out as one of the better uncommitted players in the forwards at the tournament. He is currently having a big year statistic wise in only his first year of junior hockey. He was smart and shifty with the puck on his stick. The puck seemed to keep finding him and he knew where to go with it. Ran the half wall on the power play very well and controlled play with the puck. Undersized but strong on his edges and competed to keep the play alive offensively.

          Ottawa press release.

Cole, 18, has 16 goals, 27 assists and 43 points in 33 games this season. He leads the league in points per-game at 1.30 and is T-1st in points, 3rd in assists and 10th in goals. The Dunnville, Ontario native is expected to join the UMass Lowell River Hawks in the 2020-21 season.

I like seeing that he's the youngest player in the Top 13 in scoring (and 2nd youngest in the Top 15).

We've had some luck with CCHL leading scorers, as Sam Knoblauch finished second in scoring last year. While he got off to a fast start here, he's slowed down a bit now. Charlie Levesque finished second two years ago. He's been good for us, but the points at the CCHL level have definitely not translated into NCAA hockey yet.

Quiet night for the other recruits. Clark Kerner was back in the lineup for the NEG.

Owen Cole recently did an audio interview discussing his commitment to Lowell:
                          https://***********/OttawaJrSens/sta...35879709749248

He only talks about Lowell at the beginning of the interview, this is a brief summary:
                          - Lowell first reached out to him around late Oct, early Nov.
                          - His on campus visit took place the week of the Denver game and he attended the game, they offered during his visit and he accepted.
                          - He was really impressed by the facilities, this seemed to be his biggest reason for wanting to come to Lowell.
                          - When asked why he choose NCAA route after having been drafted in the OHL, he explained he values education because his parents are both teachers, and also he didn't feel as though he was ready at that time to play at the major junior level. He sees the NCAA path as a way to extend his hockey career. His dad was also former associate coach for Miami OH.
