They're probably not coming in till 2021 (I guess 2020 at the earliest), so it doesn't mean they'll be at the AJHL level the entire time anyway.

It will be 7 years by the time it actually happens, that was my point.

And if they come in at the same point, we'd have them for four years together.

I believe the coaching staff are looking for the best players regardless of league. It sounds like coach Pagliero has some contacts in the AJHL which is great. If you look at the Heisenberg site the AJHL may not have the number of recruits as some of the other leagues but programs like North Dakota, Denver, CC, Michigan and Wisconsin, to name a few, are recruiting players from that league. Don't forget the top player at UMass, Makar, played in the AJHL.

It's just nice to see the program recruiting for 2020 and beyond. It will be interesting to see how the Truman brothers develop over the next couple of years.

The younger brother looks especially talented. He was selected in both the WHL and USHL drafts and at 16 he's already producing at a rate similar to our older recruits in that league.

The gold medal game is at 6:00 pm EST but it appears there is no free video feed of the game. The US lost to Russia in the preliminary round 4-3. The US pulled their goalie in a tied game trying for the win and the top seed in the medal round.

Congratulations to Matt Brown and the US team for winning the gold medal at the World Junior A Challenge. The US defeated Russia 2-0 today with Matt assisting on both goals. He finished the tournament with 5 points (0-5-5) in 6 games.

Can't find the article, but the decision for the two came down to Colgate or Lowell.

Scout says it came down to two options regarding universities – Colgate and UMass Lowell – but when it came down to it, they just felt like UMass was the perfect fit.

USHL action started back up after a week plus off.

Matt Brown had two assists in Des Moines' 5-2 win. His goal scoring has slowed with only 2 in the last 7 games he's played, but he does have 5 assists in that time frame as well.
                              Also, this happened yesterday:

So Berglund (no points last night) is one of three Lowell commits on the Stampede. Brian Chambers had an assist for Sioux Falls in their 4-2 win, but Andre Lee was kept off the sheet. He's pointless in 4 straight now.

The AJHL took this week off and gets back into action tonight. In their last game (22nd), Blake Wells had a 1-1-2 in Okotoks 11-0 win. On the same night, both Scout and Roc Truman had a goal in Drumheller's 7-2 win.

BCHL also gets back to hockey tonight, while the CCHL is off till Thursday of next week. NAHL gets back to work this weekend. Just noticed that Clark Kerner hasn't played since Dec 9th (missing two weekends of hockey), not sure if there was an injury?
