The regular RIT Men’s Hockey ticket site doesn’t list the Colgate game.. So I’m resigned to just check the Brick City site each day. Pretty much the same as every year since they went to assigned seats after the Penn State game a few years back. Probably won’t be a sell out anyway but I also don’t want to sit way up high. Eyes ain’t what they used to be. 😀

Per their team photo on Instagram, the Tigers appear to have a new home jersey (or at least a new alternate orange).

I wish this was a happy announcement, but it is a terrible jersey I never want to see on the ice again. I daresay it might fit in better in D3.

Ok, something positive, Drackett and Andriano have gorgeous pads this year.

I get what you're saying about D3, as this is very reminiscent of the sweater designs we had in those days, vs the nice big crests that all of the D1 era jerseys have had. But the NY Rangers have worn something very similar to this for decades, so if it's good enough for an NHL team, I'd say it's good enough for a D1 college team. I don't think it's all that bad, but I do like having a graphic over just having text.

Awful uniforms and track suits for the coaches. Year is starting off on a sour note. Where is light grey in the RIT colors? Uniforms are from 20 years ago. Who is making these decisions? And saying oh yeah, this looks good. But then again winning cures everything.

                • Banner on top of RIT Brick City web site says event tickets go on sale next Tuesday starting at noon. Hopefully that includes the Men’s hockey game.

I couldn't find it on Instagram, but it is on the Official Home Page https://www.ritathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=mhock

It looks like a dressed up version to the first jersey they wore during Wayne Wilson's first year. I am in the middle, don't hate or really love it. Wondering if there will be a third jersey in there and if it's black or not. Wonder also if the Home White will be the same.

So one of my "fun" projects to do each summer on my lunch breaks for the last couple of years has been to produce a spreadsheet of committed AHA players. Those of you familiar with Chris Heisenberg's sheets will notice the similarity and yes I have borrowed from him. However I do try and go a little deeper and pull stats and interesting highlights out of each player. Also end up finding guys not on Heisenberg's list. The stats listed are generally confined to Jr. A stats, if you click the player's name you will find that it's a link to Elite prospects where you can find more stat info. I have confirm all recruits on all AHA roasters, which the exceptions of AIC and Sacred Heart has not released this years roaster. I also list players I find who where committed at one point and has either de-committed or otherwise are not listed on the final roaster. This is for informational purposes only and not intended to defer anything more than the player was looking to go to that team and is not on that team. I can tell you from personal experiences with college hockey players that a lot goes into changing a school. A certain goaltender I know who went to Oswego was all set to go to Fredonia when things change suddenly, it happens. Please remeber this are kids and not paid professionals.

This information is the result of internet searches and even though all efforts have been made to try and ensure accuracy I am certain there will be some errors. And of course those I blame on the Russians :-D

So without further adieu the link, I hope some people find it at least somewhat informational...

The Rangers only continue to do it because it's tradition. I'm not sure I like it for a modern team. It's not awful, but it's an odd choice unless it's a third jersey.

I'm also of the opinion that away jerseys (in any sport) should showcase the school name (or city name for pros).

Awful jerseys-Princeton knock offs. Do something different instead of re-using old iniforms. Just win, everything else is irrelevant.
